NjS

Last week I had the chance to work with my buddy Robby, one-half of the hip-hop duo NjS. NjS is composed of the aforementioned Robby along with Aki and together they’ve been spiting beats from the Bay to LA and even Japan! Along with hip-hop, Robby is a pretty dope DJ as well so check out his tracks. Since they are in the hip-hop scene, I decided to take them to the LA Art District Graffiti streets.

F.A.P. 2.0

Super sorry about not having any updates for the past few weeks, I’ve been super busy with my PA Schools Apps and then my desktop died on me! Anyways, this past weekend I attended F.A.P. 2.o (Featured Acoustic Playlist) and help cover it for BakitWhy with Melly. The event was an amazing success with so many talented artists performing. I even got to see one of my new favorite singers perform live, Clara Chung. I also ended up helping my friend Steppie by setting up a impromptu photobooth at her vendor stand. It was a long day, but it was a fun one!

Full photobooth pics for The Steppie click here

The rest of my pics will be up on BakitWhy’s site shortly!

Side note… We went to 2 different Lolita’s for carne asada fries and they were both closed before 11:30 PM!

Kris Mark’s Music Video Wrap

So the other day was the last day of shooting Kris Mark‘s music video entitled, “Who Is She” being produced by Scott Yoshimoto of MoveMedia Productions. It’s been a lot of hard work for them and to see that they are finally finished shooting this project is awesome. Kris’s debut album will be dropping either at the end of the month or early next so keep a lookout for it! Anyways, here a peek of the last day of the shoot with some production stills.

Music Speaks

So last Friday, me and my partner IshMelly had the privilege to attend and photograph “AJ Rafael Presents: Music Speaks”. It was a benefit project to promote and spread awareness of Autism, something close to heart for AJ. Along with AJ Rafael, there were a host of numerous talented acts, many of whom are highly recognized youtube sensations. The project was two nights, but because of prior engagements I could only take part of the first night. The first night included many artists and performers including: Derek Portea, JR Aquino, New Like Us, MoVal Concert Chorale (MVCC), AJ Rafael Band, and Gabe Bondoc. Also performing were two of my close friends: Jennifer Chung and Quest Dance Crew (MTV’s ABDC). All in all, it was a great turnout and all the artists and performers put on an amazing show. It’s crazy to see so many talented people at such a young age.

Anyways, here are some shots from the event. The rest will be distributed by AJ himself.
